Work Experience//Researching Leeds-based studios.

Having signed for my house for next year, and now with the realistic (and slightly less expensive) ability to live in Leeds over the summer, I have begun, once again, to look at Leeds- based design studios, for the potential to gain work experience over the University break to add to the variety of studios I have already researched and sourced before making a final contact list of studios to send out my CV and portfolios to. The screenshot and linked sources below show the most recent additions to my findings, and studios that I would really like to get to know more about for the potential of a previously mentioned placement.

Little information about the studio and the designers themselves on the site, but a stunning and varied portfolio and body of work- working with film, print, online interaction and branding and identity which offers a really broad spectrum of client association and design solutions/outcomes. Really impressive website too, which always gives a great first impression- really engaging and aesthetically memorable.

Again, not a great deal about the company itself given through the website, but clearly a small, independent, yet successful company (award winning!) worked with a lot of respected and renowned clients for really high-end design outcomes. Again, really interested by their portfolio of work, and a company I would definitely like to find out more about.

Really love this design studio after reading a little bit more about them online- small, independent, creative and eco-friendly, everything that I strive for in my own design practice- plus, a stunning portfolio of work to boot (with several pieces of work that I have previously seen and admired, so a great surprise to find it's original source). I would really love to work alongside BellyTimber- they really look perfect for what I'm looking for. Definitely going at the top of the contact list!
