Researching the business costs to work out the annual business overhead costs, print facilties, are, of course, due to the nature of our business fundamental. Whilst Sarah has done wonderful work researching the price of screenprinting, I took on the job of looking at digital printers- finding Epson to be the most reliable and appropriate to our retail demands.
I selected this £3594 44" professional printer which had a great spec and range of print facilities which would meet a vast multitude of our printing needs. I went onto research the necessary cartridge costs for the model, and it was quite horrifying.
We took an educated guess that we would replace the cartridge set (C/M/Y/K) (350ml cartridges) once a month to meet with the demands of print in the shop, which would reach an annual total of £7593.60. These costs will be added to the overall combined total of business overheads and charging rates.
