A quick hour's research into commercial rental opportunities currently available in Leeds. Within the group, we have discussed that we would ideally like to be located around the Woodhouse Lane University area, where our target audience (students) would be directly on our doorstep, and where rental costs would be slightly lower outside the main city centre.
However, though my search I was very dissapointed not to find any retail rental in this lucrative area, though there are some more potential finds posted below- the vast majority being unsuitable, whether it be office space, too expense, or out of reach for the major foot fall of our target audience. However, there are a few exceptions worth considering- such as 36a Lands Lane, Leeds, Yorkshire, LS1 6LB- inside one of the city centre arcades. Although the rental costs would be undoubtedly high 'POA...', there are a few more quirky, "art, design, and home" stores in the arcade, such as 'Octopus'- could be worth considering- but one of the most important factors at this time is cost, and being able to factor this in to our budget and finance spreadsheets for the development of our business proposal.
