Another great source suggestion from tutor Amber (thanks again!), 'Salford zine library' has created a contemporary and innovative way to promote and distribute zines, zine making, and their designers. The Greater Manchester team, run by Illustrator Craig John Barr tour on exhibitions, pop up shops, workshops, and so on, to promote the donated zines and to promote the craft of zines and print- acting as a traditional mobile library, but with a modern twist.
Really fun idea- could work well for visiting lectures or talks as a proposal for our own company. As we aspire to have strong connections and links with the Universities of Leeds- as our target market, and also content for our in-house magazine content and advertisers too- definitely one to propose to the group on Monday.
