Enterprise//Research//Creative Review Advertisements.

Before embarking on developing the photoshoot and finalising the design for our proposed press ad in 'Creative Review' today with the other members of my Enterprise Group, I just wanted to take the time to take a quick look over existing designs used as advertisements within the magazine to get a general, overall feel of the type of methods of deliveries used to produce the outcomes, as well as how function the designs are in terms of dimensions, formats, etc- below are just a couple of examples I have sourced, and a small detail/description about each written below.

Definitely a little more decorative than I would have expected to find in 'Creative Review'- this advert really stands out with a great combination of technical skill, computer software and method of delivery- a great inspiration for pushing the boundaries of what is regarded to be a "standardisation" in press advertising.

An advertisement from our very own sweet Uni- Leeds College of Art! This style definitely appeals to my own personal design practice- minimal, direct, with a great use of simple colour palette and vector imagery- though perhaps not as creative a concept as I would like to go for within our proposed company- I feel that now is the time to really push the limits, and see just how well we can promote ourselves and what we stand for.

Great DPS design which really pushes on the typographic visual communication of the product it is promoting with a faint- griding structure and custom made typography- clean, fresh, crisp and direct in terms of it's message and advertising- a brilliantly considered and styled design.

A great visual source for a realisation of how our press ad will look once "mocked up" into an issue of Creative Review. Although this particular company has paid for the entire page for advertising, we intend to propose that we have a half page (as the bottom banner shows)- measuring 125mm x 250 mm for the cost of £2, 745 for the duration of an issues publication and release to market- time to get busy designing!
