Blogger Header.

Another slight tweak to my Blogger header design- keeping a visual consistency with my business cards, and all together just a little bit neater and less fussy.

Etsy Header Bar.

With a little bit more time on my hands than I've been used in the past few months, I've finally been able to make small amendments to my Etsy shop...the major factor being adding a header bar to the site- an aesthetically eye-catching and memorable piece, which will hopefully make my site stand out a little among the thousands of shop profiles, and therefore, produce more traffic, therefore, producing more sales. (760px x100px size)

Keeping the graphic style consistent with my business cards and the name "sophie in disguise" with the Groucho Marx glasses symbol.

LCA SU Hoodie Brief.

Quick update- I was hoping to execute this voluntary brief for the SU, but unfortunately, I don't think that I will be able to persue my plans. If I were fortunate enough to be selected through to "the next round" I would have to present my ideas on June 10th- the same day as my PPD Presentation. As this is part of my overall year grade, I really need to focus on this, as I will be present for the entire day.

A great shame, but hopefully I'll be able to have a go designing next year- when hopefully my style will also be a little more refined.

Filmography.

Because I just can't stay more than a day away from design, I have decided to set myself several projects over the summer- hopefully to improve and expand my design knowledge, as well as keeping up with my current pace so as not to suffer in the first term of second year.
One of the projects I intend to expand is 'Filmography'- documenting "the greatest films ever made" in various categories, exploring both digital media and print-based designs.

Starting to gather research, I have been asking people for the names of their favourite films, through Facebook, text message and Yahoo Answers, hoping to build a response base of 1000+ to gauge some idea of averages, most popular films (looking to generate up to 100 film designs- focusing at creating pictogram like images, and helping to simplify my work to develop a crisper, swiss-like style)...

Researching Wrapper Paper.

From the 'Speaking from Experience' brief, I have developed a real passion and interest in both the printing, and repeated pattern process. Feeling inspired by many designs around me, I have begun to consider making my own patterns for textiles and paper application- wrapping papers, cushions, linen, etc. Here, starting to research some great wrapping paper for a source of inspiration...

Current ideas for patterns:
-A French Breakfast
-Crayola Crayons
-A Night at the Fair
-Sweet Treats
-Constellations (would be a good start, having existing vector designs readibly available!)
